Fire and safety training program contents are designed to provide all healthcare facility staff with an introduction and detailed understanding and response for fire and safety-related incidents and recovery plans for fire emergency situations, including classifications of fire incidents, how fire spreads, electrical safety, causes of fires, emergency plans, and how to fight fires, with an emphasis on R A C E and P A S S.
This fire and safety program is aimed at healthcare professionals and healthcare sector employees, who must protect themselves, their surroundings, and patients in their facility in such incidents.
This Department of Health mandatory program requires all healthcare facility staff to be trained and certified every year to refresh their skills in effectively identifying and safely performing their duties concerning fire emergencies.
